What is Autism?
Autism, which is also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition that manifests in early childhood.
Autism can impact various aspects of an individual’s life.
Social-emotional reciprocity
Nonverbal communication in social contexts
Relationships
Movement patterns, object use, or speech characteristics
Preference for consistency routines
Special passions
Distinct sensory experiences
Understanding these aspects of Autism can help create more inclusive and supportive environments. It is important to recognise that each individual’s experience is unique.
What is ADHD?
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects people of all ages.
ADHD often presents in three main ways: Difficulty paying attention, feeling restless or hyperactive, and acting on impulse.
ADHD can look different in males and females. With the right support and strategies, people with ADHD can harness their unique strengths and thrive in both their professional and personal lives.
For a formal diagnosis, ADHD traits need to have been present since childhood, although ADHD traits can only become more apparent in adulthood. This is often due to life becoming more complex and having more responsibilities.
Our Team sees adults, children and young people.
