About Jane
Jane is a chartered physiotherapist registered with the Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC), a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and British Elbow and Shoulder Society (BESS). She qualified in 1981 and has worked in the UK for the NHS (London, Bristol and Oxford) and overseas (Australia and Canada).
For over 25 years Jane was based in the Physiotherapy Department at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford. From 2000 she specialized in the diagnosis, management and treatment of shoulder disorders, working alongside Rheumatologists and Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeons - both with adults and adolescents.
Jane has combined clinical work with research (shoulder instability, rotator cuff disorders, impingement and shoulder problems linked with breast cancer treatments), as well as developing patient information and teaching postgraduates. Jane is now spending time pursuing other interests (including yoga) but continues to enjoy trying to help ‘solve’ the ‘problem shoulder’. She is registered with many health insurers.
