Since graduating from the University of Southampton in 2010, Felicity has accrued almost 15 years post-qualification experience in both the NHS and private sector. She was a Clinical Lead in the health service, where she latterly specialised in diabetes and wound care and worked within OCDEM at the Churchill Hospital.
After leaving the NHS in 2017, Felicity has worked across Oxford in a variety of settings, offering expert podiatry care. With her broad knowledge and expertise, Felicity can skilfully assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of foot complaints. These include (but are not limited to):
- Ingrown toenails
- Corns and calluses (hard skin)
- Fungal toenails
- Athlete’s foot and other skin issues
- Thickened, damaged toenails
- Painful toes
- Metatarsalgia (painful feet)
- Plantar fasciitis
- Diabetes care
- Urgent care for e.g. a hot, red, swollen toe or foot
Felicity also understands that how your feet look can be just as important as how they feel, so she also offers bespoke medical pedicures and nail reconstruction for damaged or unsightly toenails.
Felicity is particularly skilled in ingrown toenail surgery (nail matricectomy), which can be performed to permanently resolve ingrowing toenails. She offers not only ingrown toenail surgery at a time and date to suit you at Raleigh Park Clinic, but has a range of conservative options also available, which will be discussed with you in full during your initial assessment (online booking available).
She is committed to Continuing Professional Development and regularly undertakes further study, reads the most up-to-date literature and attends courses to enable her to broaden her scope of practice. More recently, she has hosted specialist webinars for her colleagues on topics such as fungal toenails, verruca and the medico-legal aspects of practice.
